Keyboard Lessons
Vox Music Academy's keyboard lessons show you how to not only play but also how to use your keyboard controls. Keyboards come in a huge range of types and styles. Our keyboard teachers will guide you through how to play and make the best use of your keyboard, whether it has fully weighted, semi-weighted, touch sensitive or lightly weighted keys. Whether you want to play an upright, portable, electronic keyboard, synthesiser, sampler, workstation, controller - keyboard knowledge, technique, basic theory and an understanding of how they work is necessary. Vox Music Academy's keyboard lessons will get you up to speed so you can play what you want with the confidence to feel comfortable with your instrument.
Learning keyboard is a great way to learn music theory as well, because the keys are all laid out in front of you, making it easy to see each note. Chords, harmony, keys and songs become easier to play after some good keyboard lessons and are very satisfying to hear. Lessons also focus on patterns, scales and memory techniques to allow the student to 'play what they think' as quickly and as freely as possible. Finger exercises are also given to encourage the student to play by ear, whilst encouraging the student to learn their favourite songs, not by the use of notation or tabs, but by the ear alone.
