About the Vox Music Academy's Singing technique and syllabus

I have studied and had tuition in many different styles, techniques and syllabuses. From around the world in Opera, belcanto, Seth Riggs, Alexander technique and many modern contemporary techniques. As well as I'll teach alot of techniques I has derived myself through necessity to fix or improve a certain vocal problem or vocal technique.

Let's face pure and simple facts, this (singing) isn't rocket science!! If it was millions wouldn't be doing it. It is just singing. Which has been done by millions every day in every culture for hundreds of years. Every weekend billions sing or chant in different churches, temples and mosques around the world. Millions of the children sing in kindergardens, pre-school and primary schools without ever having singing lessons and sing in the perfect natural technique and pitch.

Over the past 100 years countless books have been published about singing. Most of the books make singing into some kind of science. Where you have to breathe like this, stand like that, eat this and fill your head with so many different things that you are confused before you even start. I had enough of the science from a very early age. I just wanted to sing to the best of my ability because it was fun and I had something I wanted to express.

With all my teaching, studying and performance experience I have taken only the best parts that I've found most practical and useful and that can be applied directly to singing. We at Vox Music Academy use a very simple syllabus and explain everything in a very simple way. "If you can't use it when you are singing we don't use it at all" is our philosophy. My technique has been proven over and over again, that it stands the test of time an application from countless professional performers since 1993.

My teachers and myself will teach you the technique that I have developed in over 30 years of singing and teaching. By the way, I taught six days a week, 10 hours a day from 1996 to 2002. Since 1993 I have only ever missed five days of teaching due to laryngitis. I have sung through years of colds, flues and various other ailments. If you are a professional singer you cannot cancel a gig because you have a cold or a flu. And I do not cancel my lessons because I have a cold or flu. I wouldn't expect you to cancel a show or performance because you have the same. With the right technique you should be able to be singing with any ailment except laryngitis.

So we at Vox Music Academy will show you the best way, the right way, and the easiest way for you to sing the best you can, the quickest we can, safely in the right key to suit your voice.

So what are you waiting for, let's sing and have same fun!!
