Drum Lessons

Vox Music Academy's Drum lessons cover any genre and technique you want – jazz, rock, blues, alternative, different timings, using brushes and sticks. Play hard and soft, learn good posture and sitting positions, how to set up your drum kit, what tom toms, hi hats, bass drums, kicks and double kicks are and all about great drumming techniques, rhythm and timing.

Drummers follow written music too. You'll learn the different ways drum parts are written out as well as using recordings to learn the songs you want to play. Patterns, styles and rhythms are taught with exercises to practice in between lessons. 

At Vox Music Academy, drum lessons will kick start you (excuse the pun!) into playing drums with confidence and power, subtlety and dynamics, learning also how to 'lock in' with the bass as the core of the rhythm section and how to understand what to play with the rest of the band. All the elements of a good band, giving you a head start into becoming a great drummer!
