• 5 lesson blocks $175

• 10 lesson blocks $315 (pay for 9 and get the 10th lesson free).

About the Vox Music Academy's Singing technique and syllabus

I have studied and had tuition in many different styles, techniques and syllabuses. From around the world in Opera, belcanto, Seth Riggs, Alexander technique and many modern contemporary techniques. As well as I'll teach alot of techniques I has derived myself through necessity to fix or improve a certain vocal problem or vocal technique.

Singing and Vocal Lessons

Lessons are private and run for half an hour. For your first lesson your teacher will find out a little about yourself, e.g. what you wish to do with your voice, musical influences, directions and goals. You will also be required to sing on your first lesson so an assessment can be made by your teacher as to what kind of voice it is that you have, e.g. bass, baritone or tenor for males and contralto, alto or soprano for females. These categories simply mean whether your voice is low, middle or high range. Your teacher will advise you on your strong and weak points, and your weaker points will be worked on using scales.

Guitar / Bass Guitar Lessons

Vox Music Academy can take you in any direction you want to take them – jazz, metal, blues, indie or even a bit of flamenco or western classical music. All our guitar teachers have studied extensively. All our teachers are opened up to many different styles, drawing on influences from Spain, Portugal, the Middle East and even a touch of Indian R_ga. But if you just simply wanna rock it out, our teachers can help you, having played in a multitude of rock outfits all around Melbourne!

Group Singing Classes

Group singing classes are now available for groups of 4-5 students (per group).

Drum Lessons

Vox Music Academy's Drum lessons cover any genre and technique you want – jazz, rock, blues, alternative, different timings, using brushes and sticks. Play hard and soft, learn good posture and sitting positions, how to set up your drum kit, what tom toms, hi hats, bass drums, kicks and double kicks are and all about great drumming techniques, rhythm and timing.

Keyboard Lessons

Vox Music Academy's keyboard lessons show you how to not only play but also how to use your keyboard controls. Keyboards come in a huge range of types and styles. Our keyboard teachers will guide you through how to play and make the best use of your keyboard, whether it has fully weighted, semi-weighted, touch sensitive or lightly weighted keys. The music style and genre is of your choice too. Jazz, pop, rock, ambient, indie, hard rock, classical, you name it! Keyboards and piano cover every style of music!

Stage Presentation, Performance & Movement Classes

Stage Presentation classes are designed to provide you with all the skills you need to perform and command the stage and audience, and are conducted in a fun group environment.
