Formed in Warnambool in 2003, by the O’Keeffe brothers Joel & Ryan. 2004, seen the release of their debut “Ready to Rock”. Relocated to Melbourne in 2005 and later that year signing a 5 album deal with Capital Records.

2006 was a massive year for Airbourne, relocating to the US to record their critically acclaimed debut album “Running Wild”. Three singles were released from the album, and one track was put on to the Guitar Hero. Airbourne’s hard work continued by hitting the stage supporting bands the likes of Motley Crue, Motorhead, the Rolling Stones and playing many big summer festivals in Australia, US and Europe.
Airbourne were also nominated for two Arias Awards in 2007.

In 2008, Metal Hammer Magazine voted Airbourne the winner of the best debut album. And Classic Rock Magazine voted Airbourne the best new band of 2008.

In 2010 “No Guts, No Glory” was released and again had three singles released from the album. Hitting the live festival circuit again, playing notably the Sonisphere Festival in Switzerland sharing the stage with the likes of Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax, Alice in Chains, Bullet for My Valentine and Devil Driver.
